Redevelopment Revitalization Projects
Recognized as one of Pennsylvania’s most successful downtown revitalization efforts that transitioned a steel town to a major business and residential center, CMC ENGINEERING’s project involvement included the preparation of various Urban Design Studies, Redevelopment Planning and Zoning Ordinance codification, along with Master Site Planning. The decade long planning efforts resulted in the major rezoning and redevelopment along the Schuylkill River. This redevelopment activity fostered in excess of 1 million square feet of mixed-use residential, office and commercial uses with an array of riverfront open space amenities. In addition to the vast amount of building construction, environmental protection and public access to the riverfront was paramount in the project goals.
